Crisis: The best time for your miracle

Crisis: The best time for your miracle

Luke 5:1-11

After have read a lot about miracles and have seen with my own eyes some others more I make myself the next question:

Which is the best time for a miracle in our lives?

Undoubtedly we can see in the word of God that the most awesome miracles occurs in extreme crisis times when nobody, absolutely no one could say that these happens in the best conditions.

The earth is full of shadows and God starts to create.
The earth is full of water and God give us the rainbow sign.
The sea opens in the middle of the Egyptian persecution.
A few young men are saved from the fire in the middle of the Babylonian persecution.
The Church multiplies in the middle of the fierce persecution.

And for what are we going to talk about the big growing of the Church in the actual China though the persecution. See the new here:

Well, maybe are hundreds or thousands of miracles that occurs in the Bible.

However, the most amazing miracle occurred in the middle of the shady reality of Israel.

Slaves from an empire, humble- minded spiritually and full of sin. In the middle of this context the most awesome miracle of the history arrives: Jesus.

The environment does not determine our miracle, definitely.

The extreme time, the adverse conditions, the crisis around us, make the miracle happen, why?

Because in those times the people, the man, the Church; and everyone starts to cry out for God to intervene.

In Luke chapter 5 a miracle occurs, a beautiful one, but before Jesus says to us: “The boats might be empty”
“But still, these boats serve me to preach the Word”

Jesus uses those boats that have been all night in high sea trying to fish something, but, we risk to say that the Lord of Lords needed an empty boat to preach the gospel to the multitude, maybe for that they didn’t fish anything.

For sure they have tried very hard, and the frustration reigned in those future “apostles”, however, Jesus preaches in the middle of the discouragement, of the tiredness , in the middle of the most adverse and atypical situations.

Jesus uses the environment to fulfill his purposes here on earth.

The previous teach us that a disciple that longs- for the maturity never waits for the right conditions are given to preach the Word.

Jesus preached in the synagogue, in the temple, in the mountain, in the houses, in the desert, in the cementery, and here, from a boat.

“One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God, he saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who ere washing their nets.”

“He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little bit from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.”

“When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water,
And let down the nets (plural) for a catch.”

Being Jesus the omniscient and omnipotent Creator and supporter of the seas and fishes, he gathered the multitude of fishes in that place, in that moment.

“Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything”

Probably Peter was thinking: “If we haven’t caught anything near the coast, much less we will do it in daylight in deep water; besides we have already washed the nets”. Peter experience during many years was against of what Jesus was saying.

Lots of times, the word will produce deep contradictions, because the inheritance, the shapes and the religion have marked us during our lives.

“But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” – literal, “to your word”. He accepted the word of Jesus. This is the only reason for he did it, because was against his experience as fishermen.

Do you want a miracle in your life? Accept the word and make a choice.

Peter represents a tired generation that tries and tries. Maybe you belong to a church that praised and praised for a sick person and this person didn’t cure.
Maybe you belong to a place that invested time, money and will to grow and multiply but they didn’t make it although the effort.

Maybe has been a time where tries and tries but didn’t reach what it was planed, and honestly, it hasn’t get anything.

However, everything changes when the Master is in the boat and he gives the instructions.

These lines are written for someone whom the things in life hasn’t been easy, for that I think that the Lord invites us to think maturely and to see things that we haven’t get as a time where we are “empty” to “receive” the big things that comes for our congregations, families and persons.

Our main motivation for embark us in different activities is not because others had the “miracle”, but because Jesus command us, that is to think maturely.

“When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish” that “their nets began to break.” This happens because the earthly nets can’t contain the plentiful God’s blessings.

The Lord always gives in abundance.

“So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats, so full that they began to sink”

They used the same boats and nets than the night before without success, but now their efforts are successful because they are under God’s power.

Obedience converts the failures in success.

The result of the miracle: fall down on knees before Jesus.

He always tried to teach something through his miracles. In this moment shows from an “empiric” way the beautiful that is to do the things in his word and like this call his disciples: “Fishermen of men.”

A miracle of God in your life can show you his purpose and who you are in God.
A miracle of God in you can trace your destiny.
A miracle of God always has a purpose.

For the miracle occurs in us we must be unarmed by inside.

Reject in this time all word from the devil, all fear before the imminent “crisis” and hope the most amazing miracles of our lives.

“Put out the net, put out the net in his power, in his word.”

Even if never have worked out, in this time, the Lord tell us put out the net because a miracle is coming to your life.

Be call by God is the greater miracle of our lives.

This is the best time for your miracle.
